Overview
The Video Pro section displays a standalone video. Supports Shopify-hosted video and YouTube/Vimeo URLs. Optional poster image, overlay with heading/text, click-to-play, autoplay (muted), and configurable aspect ratio. Use it for product demos, brand videos, or tutorials.
Where to Add This Section
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Select Homepage or desired template.
- Click Add section.
- Choose Video Pro.
- Save.

Quick Setup (4 Steps)
- Add video — Upload Video or paste Video URL (YouTube/Vimeo).
- Add poster — Upload Poster image for thumbnail.
- Configure play — Autoplay, mute, loop, click-to-play.
- Optional overlay — Enable overlay with heading and text.

The Video Pro section supports three video sources:
- Shopify-hosted video
- YouTube (via URL)
- Vimeo (via URL)
To add a video:
- Upload a video file directly to Shopify, or
- Paste a YouTube or Vimeo URL into the Video URL field.
Yes! The Video Pro section supports the following aspect ratios:
- 16:9 (default)
- 4:3
- 1:1
- Custom (allows setting custom width and height ratios)
You can enable autoplay and mute options in the section settings:
- Autoplay: The video will automatically play when the page is loaded (muted by default in most browsers).
- Mute: The video will play without sound if this setting is enabled.
The 'Click to Play' feature allows the video iframe to be lazy-loaded upon clicking the play button. This helps improve page load times by only loading the video when the user interacts with it.
Yes! You can upload a custom poster image that will be shown as a thumbnail before the video plays. If no poster image is provided, the video thumbnail (for YouTube/Vimeo) will be used as a fallback.
To add a text overlay, enable the Overlay option in the section settings. You can customize:
- Overlay Heading
- Overlay Text
- Overlay Color (with customizable opacity)
- Text Alignment (Left, Center, Right)
Yes, you can customize the play button's style and size:
- Play Button Style: Solid, Outline, or Circle
- Play Button Size: Small, Medium, or Large
Follow these steps to add the Video Pro section to your store:
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Select the template where you want to add the section.
- Click Add section.
- Choose Video Pro and configure the settings.
- Click Save.
Yes! The Video Pro section is fully compatible with RTL languages, and the layout automatically adjusts for correct text alignment and video positioning.
Yes, you can set a maximum width for the video as a percentage (from 50% to 100%) using the Video Max Width setting.
If your video is not loading, please ensure:
- That the video URL is correct (for YouTube and Vimeo URLs).
- That the video file is properly uploaded to Shopify.
- That the 'Click to Play' feature is not preventing the video from loading.
