Theme Settings Cart
Multipurpose Fashion Theme
The Cart settings control how customers review their items before checkout. These settings affect cart layout, upsell recommendations, checkout options, and legal confirmations.
Shopify Admin -> Online Store -> Themes -> Customize -> Theme settings -> Cart
1. Cart Type
Setting ID: cart_type
- Page -> Customer goes to a full cart page
- Drawer -> Cart slides in from side
When to Use Each
Page cart is better for detailed checkout review.
Drawer cart is faster and improves conversion flow.
2. Enable Additional Checkout Buttons
Setting ID: enable_additional_checkout_buttons
Displays express checkout options like:
- Shop Pay
- PayPal
- Google Pay
These buttons can appear either on cart page OR checkout page, not both.
Enable to reduce checkout friction.
3. Cart Recommendations (Page Cart)
Setting ID: cart_recommendations_product
Select a product to recommend inside cart page.
Use this for cross-selling accessories or complementary products.
4. Cart Drawer Recommendations
Setting ID: cart_drawer_collection
Select a collection whose products appear in "Complete the look" section inside drawer cart.
This increases average order value.
5. Enable Order Notes
Setting ID: enable_order_notes
Adds a text box where customers can leave special instructions.
Useful for gift notes, delivery details, or custom orders.
6. Enable Terms & Conditions Checkbox
Setting ID: enable_terms_and_conditions
Requires customer to accept terms before checkout.
Enable for legal compliance in certain regions.
7. Terms and Conditions Page
Setting ID: terms_and_conditions_page
Select the page that contains your terms. The checkbox will link to this page.
Make sure your legal page is properly created inside: Shopify Admin -> Online Store -> Pages.
Common Mistakes

FAQs
Page opens a dedicated cart page. Dropdown opens a slide-out cart drawer.
