Cart Recommendations
Multipurpose Fashion Theme
The Multipurpose theme shows "Complete the look" product recommendations in the cart to encourage add-ons. Recommendations are collection-based: you choose a collection, and products from that collection appear in the cart.
1. Cart Drawer Recommendations
When using the cart drawer (dropdown cart), products from a chosen collection appear below the cart items.
How to Set Up
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Click Theme settings in the left sidebar.
- Open the Cart section.
- Under Cart drawer recommendations, select a collection.
- Click Save.
Products from that collection (up to 6) will appear in the "Complete the look" section when the cart drawer is open.
2. Cart Page Recommendations
When using the full cart page (not drawer), recommendations are controlled per section.
How to Set Up
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Navigate to the Cart template (use the template dropdown at the top).
- Select the Cart section.
- Under Cart recommendations collection, select a collection.
- Click Save.
3. Tips
- Create a collection of complementary products (e.g. "Frequently bought together" or "Add-ons").
- Use a collection that matches your cart items (e.g. accessories for the product type in cart).
- Keep the collection small (6-12 products) for best performance.
