Multipurpose Fashion Theme
The Colors section controls the entire visual identity of your storefront. This includes brand colors, buttons, pricing, tags, and background textures.
Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes → Customize → Theme settings → Colors
Step 1: Set Your Primary Brand Color
The Primary color is your main brand color. It is used for:
- Main buttons
- Highlighted links
- Important UI elements
- Accent backgrounds
What You See in Settings
What Changes on Storefront
When you change the Primary color, this button color changes everywhere.
Step 2: Set Your Secondary Color
The Secondary color is usually used as:
- Background color for sections
- Light contrast areas
- Hover effects
If your Primary color is dark, choose a light Secondary color for balance.
Step 3: Background & Text Colors
These settings control the base layer of your website.
- Background color → Page background
- Text color → Default paragraph text
If the text is hard to read, adjust contrast between background and text.
Step 4: Default Color Schemes
These assign specific schemes to components like:
- Body
- Buttons
- Sale tags
- Price
Example: If you set Buttons = scheme_5, all primary buttons will use scheme 5 colors.
Step 5: Enable Textures (Optional)
Textures add pattern backgrounds to sections.
- Enable Use texture images
- Upload PNG inside assets/images/
Use textures carefully. Too many patterns can reduce readability.
Common Mistakes
| Problem | Why It Happens | How To Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Text hard to read | Low contrast between background and text | Use darker text or lighter background |
| Buttons invisible | Primary color similar to background | Increase contrast difference |
| Sale tag unreadable | Wrong default_sale_tags_scheme | Assign high-contrast scheme |
| Texture not appearing | PNG file not uploaded correctly | Check filename and enable texture toggle |
