Overview
The Index template (index.json) is your
store's homepage. It displays the sections you add in the
Theme Customizer—hero, featured collections, promotional grids, testimonials,
email signup, and more. Fully customizable; no fixed layout. Use it to create
your store's first impression.

- Applies to: Homepage only (single page)
Default Sections (Example)
The default index may include sections such as:

Sections and order are fully customizable.
How to Customize
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Ensure Home is selected in the template dropdown.
- Add, remove, or reorder sections.
- Configure each section's settings.
- Save.
For merchants
- Lead with your strongest hero or promotion.
- Use 5–8 sections for balance; avoid clutter.
- Test on mobile—homepage drives traffic.
Index (Homepage) Template – FAQs
