Import Demo Content

Multipurpose Fashion Theme

Demo import is optional. Use it on a duplicate theme, then replace all placeholder content before publishing.

Estimated time: 10-15 minutes
Recommended environment: Duplicate theme or development store

What demo import should include

  • Homepage section structure and ordering
  • Template and section settings defaults
  • Navigation placeholders for quick setup

Products, collections, and branded assets are merchant-specific and should be configured manually.

Safe import workflow

  1. Duplicate your current theme.
  2. Import demo layout/settings into the duplicate.
  3. Replace demo images, headings, copy, links, and collection assignments.
  4. Validate templates (Home, Product, Collection, Cart, Search, key Pages).
  5. Publish only after QA completion.
Do not import demo content directly into your active live theme.

Manual template update (OS 2.0)

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Edit code.
  2. Open the /templates folder.
  3. Update the relevant JSON template(s) carefully.
  4. Save and verify in Theme Editor preview.

Post-import requirements

  • Replace all demo copy and imagery.
  • Assign real collections/products in featured sections.
  • Verify cart and checkout entry points.
  • Review SEO metadata and social previews.
  • Run responsive QA before publish.
